July 2020

Join our z-mtgs every Monday at 12 noon!  It is a respite on Mondays again - at the noon hour - with interesting programs and a chance to 'see' our Rotary friends.  An amazing dividend has been seeing our Rotarian friends from Texas, Colorado, Canada and France!

The Rotary Club of Albuquerque (RCA) was formed in 1916, over 100 years ago, and is the longest standing service club in Albuquerque. For over a century, Rotarians from the RCA have made a significant impact on  our community. We serve in leadership positions around our City and the State of New Mexico, always representing Rotary and our charitable work to improve our community.

I am honored to serve as your 2020-2021 President. Since joining the Rotary Club of Albuquerque in 2009, I have had the opportunity to meet and socialize with all of our members and form many meaningful friendships. I am deeply humbled to be given this opportunity.

As a service organization, we Rotarians mobilize to serve our Community, our Nation, and the World at large. Recently, Global events have challenged us in many ways including increasing the need to serve. There are still many unknowns that will undoubtedly challenge us this year, but we will cheerfully take them on.

In order for our club to serve, we must be healthy, vibrant, and strong. Our Rotary Club will meet this challenge by living by our guiding principles otherwise known as the Four-Way Test: “Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Our Rotary International theme for 2020-2021 is “Rotary Opens Doors.” We challenge all Rotarians to create opportunities that strengthen their leadership, help put service ideas into action, and improve the lives of those in need.

Our Club’s Strategic Initiative for this year is to strengthen our cohesiveness and inclusion. Please join me in making this a fun, exciting, and memorable Rotary Year!

Let’s Do This!
